La Zenia works best as a coastal accommodation base with the serious riding developing inland. From apartments around La Zenia Boulevard and the N-332 corridor, riders can move through Villamartín towards San Miguel de Salinas, Pinar de Campoverde, Rebate and the Vega Baja. Punta Prima and Playa Flamenca use the same road network, while Cabo Roig and Campoamor give a more southerly start.
The first and final kilometres require sensible timing because the coast is busiest around school and shopping traffic. Once beyond the urban strip, the roads open into longer rolling routes towards Orihuela, Bigastro, Crevillent and Aspe.

Local Starts and Practical Timing
Avoid treating the N-332 as the ride. It is a connection through a busy coastal area, not the reason to cycle here. Earlier starts make it easier to clear La Zenia and Villamartín before traffic builds. In hotter months, complete the inland section early and carry enough water between towns.
