OriMar Bikes is the operating brand behind Murcia Bike Hire, providing carbon road bike hire and self-guided cycling holidays in southern Spain.
We established our business in Spain in October 2018, following the purchase of the Murcia Bike Hire operation. Since then, our focus has been on building a reliable, well-organised service for visiting cyclists who value good equipment, clear information, and realistic planning.
We are a small, owner-run business, and our approach is shaped by day-to-day operational experience rather than marketing promises.
Based in Torre de la Horadada, Focused on the Coast
Our operational base is in Torre de la Horadada, on the southern edge of the Orihuela Costa.
Our primary service area covers the Orihuela Costa coastline and the Mar Menor coastal area, where the majority of our bike hires and cycling holidays take place. We work mainly with coastal resorts, hotels, and holiday accommodation, allowing us to provide a consistent and well-timed delivery and collection service.
Requests outside these core coastal areas may be possible by prior arrangement and may incur additional costs, but they are not part of our standard service offering.

We work hard to provide a smooth, well-organised experience with clear communication at every stage. Cycling holidays involve logistics, expectations, and real-world constraints, and we believe the best outcomes come from honesty, preparation, and mutual respect.
Our service is designed to work best when plans are clear and agreed in advance. By focusing on defined service areas, scheduled deliveries, and clearly outlined inclusions, we are able to operate efficiently and provide a reliable experience for our clients.
Rather than offering open-ended or flexible-on-the-day arrangements, we concentrate on doing the fundamentals properly and consistently.
Carbon Road Bikes Selected for Coastal Riding
Our fleet is built primarily for road cycling around the Orihuela Costa and Mar Menor, where terrain ranges from flat coastal routes to gently rolling inland roads.
We operate BMC Teammachine SLR carbon road bikes, all supplied with standard 50 / 34 T compact gearing, making them well suited to the predominantly coastal riding profile.
Alongside our carbon road bikes, we are also in the process of introducing a small selection of e-City and e-Gravel bikes from Fiido. These will provide additional options for riders looking for assisted cycling along the coast, on mixed-surface routes, or for more relaxed exploration of the area.

Cycling Holidays & Group Bookings
Alongside bike hire, we also organise self-guided carbon road cycling holidays based around the Orihuela Costa and Mar Menor area.
These trips are popular with couples, private groups, and cycling clubs visiting for winter and shoulder-season riding. Group sizes typically range from 4 to 12 riders, with larger bookings arranged selectively.
Routes, accommodation, and logistics are planned carefully, with an emphasis on coastal access, manageable transfers, and clear daily structure.
