The 2026 season has brought OriMar Bikes both. We have delivered bikes beside the Mar Menor, prepared road bikes for the climbs around La Manga Club and helped couples explore the Orihuela Costa together. Along the way, our customers have shared photographs, stories and some wonderful reviews.
There is a new energy around OriMar Bikes in 2026, but the service behind the name has been built over many years.
New name. Same service. Seven years of trust.
More Than Simply Hiring a Bike
A successful bike hire should feel straightforward. The correct bike arrives at the accommodation professionally prepared, adjusted for the rider and ready for the roads ahead.
Behind that simple handover is the work that matters: checking the bike, selecting the correct size, fitting the requested pedals, preparing the accessories and arriving when promised. Our customers may not see every stage, but their reviews show that they notice the result.
Paul S hired one of our BMC road bikes in March and highlighted how straightforward the experience had been, from the booking and communication through to delivery and collection.

Kacper R returned after previously hiring from us in 2025. His reason for coming back was equally simple:

Road-Bike Days at La Manga Club
At La Manga Club in May, Richard R hired two bikes for three days. His review summed up the experience perfectly:
“We hired two bikes from OriMar Bikes in La Manga for three days and honestly couldn’t have asked for a better experience.”
Richard described the process as straightforward, honest and professional from beginning to end. The bikes were well maintained, comfortable and suited to the local roads and climbs—the details that determine whether a cycling holiday becomes memorable for the right reasons.

One Holiday, Two Different Ways to Ride
One of our favourite stories of the summer came from Seamus P in Playa Flamenca.
Seamus had hired bikes from other companies during previous visits to the Orihuela area. After hiring a BMC road bike from OriMar for three days, his verdict was wonderfully direct:
“OriMar is the best by a country mile.”
He enjoyed three days on the BMC, with the bike delivered and collected at the agreed times. Then, with only a few days of the holiday remaining, his wife decided that she would also like to ride.
A telephone call led to two Fiido C21 e-bikes being delivered that evening, ready for them to enjoy a full day together the following morning.
It is a story that captures what OriMar Bikes is increasingly about. A committed road cyclist can enjoy a properly prepared carbon bike, while a partner or friend can choose an e-bike for a more relaxed experience. Sometimes one holiday can include both.

From the Orihuela Costa to the Mar Menor
The photographs from this season tell their own story.
There have been BMC road bikes prepared for early starts, Fiido e-bikes ready for relaxed coastal days and riders returning with the particular smile that only follows a good day on a bike. The scenery changes between Torre de la Horadada, La Zenia, Playa Flamenca, Punta Prima, Los Alcázares, the Mar Menor and La Manga Club, but the aim remains the same: helping every customer enjoy the best riding available from where they are staying.
For some, that means a demanding route into the Sierra Minera. For others, it is a steady ride beside the coast, a café stop or simply the freedom to explore without using the car.
That variety is why OriMar Bikes offers both BMC Teammachine SLR carbon road bikes and Fiido C21 e-bikes. The bikes are different, but the care behind their preparation and delivery is exactly the same.
The Words We Value Most
Awards matter, but the individual comments left by customers mean even more. They tell us what people remember after the bikes have been collected and the holiday has ended.
Again and again, the same themes appear: the condition of the bikes, punctual delivery, friendly communication, honest advice and the confidence of knowing that support is available if needed.
One returning customer described the service as “second to none”, while first-time customer Sarah B captured the convenience of hiring rather than travelling with a bike:
“So much easier than bringing my own!”
Those are not marketing claims written in an office. They are the experiences of real riders who trusted a small, owner-run business with an important part of their holiday.

A New Brand Built on the Same Service
In 2026, the business completed its evolution from Murcia Bike Hire into OriMar Bikes. The new name gives us a clearer identity across the Orihuela Costa and Mar Menor, with a growing fleet and a stronger focus on both premium road bikes and e-bikes.
What has not changed is the personal service behind it. The same care goes into every bike, every delivery and every customer conversation.
New brand. Same service. The next chapter is already being written by our riders.
Tripadvisor Travellers’ Choice 2020–2026
In 2026, OriMar Bikes received the Tripadvisor Travellers’ Choice award for the seventh consecutive year.

The name and bikes have evolved since the business began, but the principles behind the service have remained consistent: well-prepared equipment, dependable delivery and personal attention from the first enquiry to the final collection.
Seven consecutive awards belong as much to our customers as they do to us. Their reviews created that record, and their continued support has allowed OriMar Bikes to grow from its Murcia Bike Hire beginnings into the business it is today.

The best part of looking back at these photographs is knowing that every one represents a real day of somebody’s holiday: a first ride on a carbon road bike, a return to a favourite climb, a couple exploring together or simply a few peaceful hours beside the Mediterranean.
